The following image depicts a report from Commander Henry K. Hoff, USN, to Captain S.F.Dubont, Commanding Officer of Naval Station Philadelphia. This letter is a report of Commander Hoff's inspection of the Alligator's prototype upon its confiscation by the Philadelphia police.
