Tony Reyer

Karl AustinTony is a database designer/developer and data analyst/modeler with geographic information system (GIS) experience that has been working for the Special Projects Office of NOAA’s National Ocean Service for over 18 years.  He graduated from the Johns Hopkins University’s Krieger School of Arts and Sciences with a masters degree in environmental science and policy.  His undergraduate degree is in biology with a marine biology emphasis from the University of Maryland. 

During his years at NOAA, Tony has been involved in many projects ranging from summarizing the extent of coastal wetlands for the nation to co-writing a portion of the Description of the Affected Environment section for the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Management Plan to designing, developing, and implementing various coastal environmental databases including, most recently, the Resources and Undersea Threats (RUST) database for the National Marine Sanctuary Program.
