Savannah Ocean Exchange
Call for Solutions

Savannah Ocean Exchange is a non-profit organization that brings together representatives from industry, research, education, government and conservation to identify an annual theme addressing a pressing ocean issue.

NOAA Office of National Marine Sanctuaries Director Dan Basta serves on the Board of Governors as does Eric C. Schwaab, Assistant Administrator of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service. Other sanctuary staff serve on various committees, in particular the Host Committee with Southeast Regional Director Billy Causey, Northeast and Great Lakes Regional Director Reed Bohne and Gray's Reef Superintendent George Sedberry.

The Exchange seeks solutions inspiring action that address the annual theme chosen by the Board of Governors. The inaugural theme "Shaping the Future of Our Coasts" was left intentionally broad to cast a wide inclusive net for solutions worldwide. The selection process ultimately culminates in the selection of the Best of the Best to receive the $100K Gulfstream Navigator Award 2011. Click here for details. April 15th is the deadline for solution submission.
