Large juvenile Loggerhead sea turtles, (Caretta caretta), are the most common sea turtle encountered at the Flower Gardens and Stetson Bank. Five animals have been tracked by satellite technology since 1995. This animal, Philos, is a female who was tagged and tracked for just over a year. She was last seen in October, 1998.
