Odean Vanthul

Odean Vanthul is a retired Navy Senior Chief. He has had over 11 years experience in teaching various Naval courses, from operating cruise missiles to operating Navy Hovercrafts.

He currently is an Education Specialist with Nauticus, The National Maritime Center in Norfolk, Virginia. He is also a student at Old Dominion University, where he is currently pursuing a degree in History.

Odean leads an Explorer’s Club with a local school, teaching various interdisciplinary science lessons, based on the search for the USS Alligator.
