Monterey Bay Issue Name: Water Quality – WQPP Implementation diver in clear water

Water quality has been a frequently raised concern in the public scoping process. The Sanctuary and its partners have developed a framework to address water quality in four previously developed plans of the Water Quality Protection Program (WQPP). The WQPP is a collaborative effort with federal, state and local agencies, public and private groups to identify and address water quality issues in the Sanctuary and its watersheds. The four plans that have been completed and implementation begun include urban runoff, regional monitoring, marinas and boating, and agriculture. More...
