The
Kohola and the Kolea
A coloring book and children's story,
translated in English and Hawaiian, adapted from
the Marshall Islands. It tells the story of the
close relationship between the plants and animals
on land and in the sea. The coloring book is
illustrated by a Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale
National Marine Sanctuary volunteer.
Sea Turtles
A popular bilingual coloring book in Hawaiian
and English which provides an introduction to
Hawaii's sea turtles and conservation
techniques.
The
Pacific Coral Reef Coloring
Book
A tri-lingual coloring book on the importance
and conservation of the coral reef. In Hawaiian,
Samoan and English. This book was created in
celebration of the United Nation's 1997 Year of the
Coral Reef.

Humpback Whale Approach
Regulations
A waterproof, pocket-size card which outlines
Federal approach regulations and important contact
information.
Species Cards
A 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card dedicated to each of the
four federally protected species found in Hawaii.
The humpback whale, the green sea turtle, the
spinner dolphin and the Hawaiian monk seal are each
depicted on a one-page sheet. The species cards are
co-funded with the National Marine Fisheries
Service.

One page informational brochure on the ancient
Hawaiian fishpond located in front of the Maui
Sanctuary office.

Identification booklet of the terrestrial plant
species that exists at the Maui Sanctuary office.
Volunteer Flyer
Provides background information about the
Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine
Sanctuary volunteer program and tells ways to get
involved with the sanctuary.
