Sanctuary Sam offers tips on ways humans can be better ocean stewards by not throwing trash in the ocean and not disturbing marine life, such as marine mammals, in the wild. Sanctuary Sam also spreads the word about the important role of marine sanctuaries in protecting and preserving our ocean's natural and cultural resources. Boo at the Zoo is held each October at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Sanctuary Sam attended with 20,000 other zoo fans!

Sam attended the Reading is Fundamental spelling bee held at Macy's in Pentagon City.

Lots of hands-on exhibits for the children and Sam was there to assist and spread the Sanctuary message.

Sam joined in on Character Day at the Baltimore Aquarium. Sam was hugged, kissed, and had his picture taken with lots of kids!

This dinner was attended by 2000 parents, spouses and children to honor and celebrate a loved one who gave their life fighting in support of our great country. It was a heartwarming event to Sam and he was honored to have been asked to participate.
