Earth Is Blue: Shipwreck Explorers Encounter Giant Pacific Octopus

You never know what you’ll find when you go exploring! During a maritime archaeology expedition off San Francisco, CA, in fall 2014, NOAA researchers lowered a remote-controlled camera to explore a “mystery shipwreck” in the depths of Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. While looking for clues to the wreck’s identity, they found it occupied by one of our favorite ocean creatures!
