NOAA announces alternate members of Mallows Bay-Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council

NOAA has selected four people to serve as alternate members on the Mallows Bay-Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council. Council members and alternates provide advice and recommendations to NOAA regarding the sanctuary management plan and will act as liaisons to community and constituent groups.

The new alternate members and their seats:

Chad Tokowicz
Sara Ramotnik

Business and Economic Development
Bonnie Grady

Tourism and Marketing
Ruth Toomey

NOAA is currently seeking applications for a Maritime Archaeology and History member and two youths (member and alternate) on the advisory council. Applications will be accepted through April 1, 2021.

The next virtual advisory council meeting will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST. The public is invited to attend.
